Gorilla Spirits
We’ve added to our gin shelf (again!) this time it’s with the delicious Silverback Gin, created by Gorilla Spirits in Hampshire.
Lovingly created in a small copper still named Mugwaneza, (which is Kinrwandan for ‘she who is content’) in small batches of just over 200 bottles; this gin uses a base of 100% British wheat spirit and features a range of botanicals including juniper, angelica, calamus root, sweet orange, coriander, acacia blossom and lemongrass – to create its unique taste.
At 46%abv, its ‘Mountain Strength is paired with sweet floral notes, followed by fresh citrus wafts and a whisper of lemongrass for a clean and refreshing drink, perfect for the summer months.
Not only does this gin taste amazing, it also provides guilt-free drinking, as for every bottle sold, one pound is donated to The Gorilla Organization, a small UK based charity whose work is dedicated to protecting the remaining 880 Mountain Gorillas that exist.
We also have the beautiful goblet glasses in stock, which are made from Darlington Crystal, as well as Gorilla Spirts other products, Blackback Vodka and Maraba, a coffee liquor made from Bourbon Arabica Beans from the rich volcanic soils on the high-altitude hills of Maraba, a district of Rwandawhich has a deep buttery chocolate flavour.
