New Commercial Kitchen Opens at Etherington’s
We are pleased to announce a new industrial kitchen at our Head Quarters in Wheal Rose Scorrier. The installation is an £30,000 investment into expanding the business resulting in new jobs for local people.
The state-of-the-art commercial kitchen features a Rationale Cooking Centre which is the only intelligent cooking systems with 5 senses allowing for more productivity, greater control and the best environmental health management.
Our new kitchen was opened by Malcolm Ball and Brian Edgeler from the Commercial Food & Safety Dept. Cornwall Council. The team have been a great support to the building project at Etherington Meats, offering expert advice to ensure the kitchen was of the best quality and commercial viability.
Malcolm Ball, Cornwall Council Commercial Food and Safety Officer said: “We were happy to work with Etherington Farm Shop from the inception of the idea to the new plant and wish them good luck with their new production facility.”
Mark Etherington, Managing Director says: “It is exciting to see the new kitchen in production making new products that we are adding to our wholesale and retail shelves including BBQ pulled pork. We are also able to step up production of our Taste of the West Gold awarded Wheal Rose hogs pudding.”
He continues: “We are committed to investing heavily in expanding our business and increasing production to meet demand. This will result in more jobs for local people and a greater investment into our wider local economy.”
